Nona was born in Desdemona, "Hogtown," the daughter of William Eads and Norah Belle Mahan Chisum. She married Leonard Elmer Robinson on 12 Jan 1921 in Marietta, Love County, Oklahoma. They had seven children born live, plus stillborn twins. She had a head injury in the 1930's when she was carrying one of her babies down to the cellar during a tornado and the cellar door fell on her head. She developed a condition with symptoms similar to Parkinson's disease, but apparently it was caused by the injury. She died from a stroke following surgery for appendicitis.
