She was actively involved at Zion Lutheran Church in Pasadena where she was a member for more than 45 years. Bernice truly loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and she always had a smile on her face. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill Stricklin; daughter and son-in-law Glenda and Donald Clerc; sons and daughters-in-law Bruce and Barbie Stricklin, and Steve and Janet Stricklin; brother and sister-in-law Arlin and Mildred Otten; sister Ruby Hord; grandchildren Brian, Amy and Emily Clerc, Bradford and Barrett Stricklin, and Spencer and Stewart Stricklin. {Bio published in The Houston Chronicle}
