August Beisse Of Longview Is Death Victim
August Fredrick Beisse, 63, Longview industrial and commercial building contractor, died Friday morning at his home, 656 Twenty Third avenue, after an illness of five months. Beisse was born in Andover, Germany, February 4, 1878, and came to the United States when he was three years old. He came to Longview in 1924 Hermiston, Ore. Beisse was the builder of the Pacific Straw Paper and Board factory, now the Pacific Paperboard Company, and of a number of business establishments in the city. Survivors include the widow, Wilhelmina; a son, George; a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Vieck in Chicago; a brother, Fred, and sister, Mrs. Carrie Diets, both Chicago, and another sister, Mrs. Marie Kroger, Des Plains, Ill. Beisse was a member of the Masonic blue Lodge, the Royal Arch Masons and of the Order of Eastern Star. Funeral arrangements which are pending, will be in charge of the Steele Funeral Chapel.
