Theresa Elaine Morrone, 97, of Fairmont passed away Thursday June 19, 2014 at the Tygart Center Genesis Health Care in Fairmont, where she had been a resident since January 7, 2000. She was born in Fairmont on October 11, 1916 daughter of the late Salvatore and Rose Romino Blumetto.
Theresa was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Violetta Straight, and several nieces and nephews including Leonard (Linda) Bonfantino, Theresa D'Amico, Rosemary Newbrough, Helen Rose (Al) Janicki, Michael Blumetto, JB (Paula) Blumetto, Coletta (Darrell) Capral, Peter (Christy) Monell, and Karen (Robert) Capral, and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard "Mac" Morrone on August 28, 1959 and her only daughter Donna Marie Morrone on September 18, 1998. She is also preceded in death by five sisters Agnes Vessecchia, Anna Fortuna, Mary Bonfantino, Josephine Delligatti and Marion Monell and three brothers Leonard, Michael and Anthony "Tony" Blumetto.
Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home 801 Fairmont Avenue Fairmont on Sunday from 2-8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Deacon David Lester officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
