Martin Ellis Swank of 1100 5th Ave. Juniata, died Sunday at 7:30 A. M. at the Wicker nursing home after several months illness.
He was a retired PRR conductor on the Pittsburgh division, retiring in 1951 after 43 1/2 years service.
He was born June 14, 1886, in Lycoming county a son of Ellis and Erma Philips Swank. He was a member of the Lutheran church of Newry and of the B. of R. T., the Altoona BPOE and the Eagles. Mr. Swank leaves his widow, Mrs. Ada Hall Swank; six children. Larue Swank of Altoona, Sheldon Swank of Juniata, Capt. Ellery Swank, with the U.S. army in Germany, Mrs. Flora Harley of Juniata, Mrs. Mildred Singer of Juniata, Mrs. June Shaw of Newry; 13 grandchildren and eight great grand children. Friends with be received at Mauk and Yates funeral parlor after 6 P. M. Monday.

Funeral services for Martin Ellis Swank of 1100 5th Ave., Juniata. will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday in the Mauk and Yates funeral home, Juniata, by Rev. P. J. Horrick. Interment in the Lutheran cemetery, Newry. Friends are being received at the Mauk and Yates funeral home, Juniata.
