Eva Anna Stephens, daughter of the late Harland Porter and Ora Lee Perkins Myers, was born April 21, 1908 at Horse Cave, Kentucky. She entered into eternal rest July 12, 1991 at the age of 88 years.
She received her education at the Langston School near West Plains, Missouri and on August 2, 1929 was married at West Plains to Marvin N. Stephens who preceded her in death on May 7, 1985.
Mrs. Stephens had been a resident of Howell County since early childhood and with her husband had been dairy farmers near West Plains for many years.
She is survived by four children, Betty Ann Thornton and husband Bill, Fort Worth, Texas; Norma Sue Harris and husband Ted; Marvin Dale Stephens and wife Jane Ann; and Frank Dean Stephens, all of West Plains; twelve grandchildren; numerous great grand children; one brother Paul Myers, Sundance, Wyoming; four sisters Lois Scott and Ruby Gunn, both of West Plains; Lura Davis; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Vivian Burroughs, Springfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stephens is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers Wayne Myers, Blaine Myers, and Doran Myers, and one sister Iva Lee Carr.
She was converted and baptized at the age of seventeen and later became a member of the Church of Christ Restored. Her service was officiated by the Reverends Holland Davis and Ado Hunt.
Burial was in the Howell Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Robertson Drago Funeral Home.
