Hi birthplace varies on census records of children, some Ohio while others Ireland and his Civil War enlistment record gives birthplace Wheeling.

His age is also questionable as he gave 38 on enlistment record for Civil War.
Born Wheeling, a merchant, Private promoted to 1st Sergeant Sept 4, 1863, returned to ranks Aug 8 1864. He was in Camp Parole, near Annapolis in July & Aug of 1864. Discharged July 1865 at Lemonsburg, for disability.

Gordon served in Civil War, Union, Company I, 10th and 15th Regiments WV Infantry. He enlisted in Aug 28, 1862 and appears on muster roll at USA General Hospital, Gallipolis, Ohio in 1863 and 1864.

Pension record to Jennetta in 1881 and to minor Margaretta Drennen in 1893 since Jenetta died in 1892.

Married Jenetta I. Drennen, February 11, 1874, Belmont, Ohio.

His funeral was held from home of his father in law James H. Drennen, Martins Ferry, Ohio.

His will was brought to probate July 13, 1880, Grandview Twp, Washington County, Ohio, wherein Wm. D. Cochran was appointed administrator of his estate.

His son Ross Drennen Robinson's occupation on various censuses is newspaper editor, partner in a newspaper and then was manager of ferry boat line.

However the upright stone back left may be his military stone. Same lot with John and Eliza Elliott
