Dorothy Jean "Dodie" (Patton) Miller, 82, of Alcoa, passed away peacefully Monday, June 16, at her family home. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a sweet loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother who loved, and was loved by, her husband and family very much.

Preceded in death by parents Tom and Nellie (Riddle) Patton, brother Cedric Patton, sister June and husband Bob Maples, sister Blanche and husband Fred Gatlin, sister Sylvia and husbands Ernest Shields & Woody Bell, and brother-in-law Orvin Anderson.

Survived by her loving husband and best friend of fifty-two years, Robert L. Miller, and her children: Cathy Richesin and husband Ray Richesin, Sandy Durden and husband Robert Durden, Michael L. Miller and wife Ana Miller, Robert F. Miller and wife Debra Miller, Billy T. Anderson and wife Diane Anderson. Also survived by 12 grandchildren (and spouses): Nikki (Chris) Clark, Samanda (Josh) Knight, Matthew (Dena) Miller, Shawn Richesin (fiancée Erin Gier), Emilie (AJ) Pasternak, Cassidy (Manny) Garcia, Lori Miller, Corey "Lake" Burnett, Jared (Ashley) Anderson, Megan Miller, Joshua Anderson, and Katie Miller. Also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sister Billie Ruth Anderson, sister Patricia Kaye Kennedy and husband Charlie Kennedy, sister-in-law Betty Patton, and brother James Patton of Flint, MI.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 9:00 AM, Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Grandview Cemetery.
