Suggested edit: Your bio is, as far as I an aware, totally correct regarding the mid-air collision of the two B-26 C's involved in a training exercise. Boyette, FL. was small community deemed sparcely populated enough that aircraft from McDill field could use it for combat training missions. Lt.Waddell was the Mission Commander and Chief instructor flying B-26C serial #41-35188. The aircraft flying immediately adjacent, piloted by Lt.Watt, suffered a propeller "overspeed" causing his aircraft to collide with #41-35188 resulting in the loss of both aircraft and their crews.
As you read the extended story...it reads kinda like the mid-air was caused when B-26C #41-35188 ran into its self. I wish the serial # of Lt.Watt's B-26 but unfortunately I don't. Just thought it should be looked at. Very respectfully, Frank Waddell
