Mr. Donald Lavell Young, 72, a native of Coffeeville and resident of Mt. Vernon, Alabama passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at his home. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in both the United States Air Force and the United States Army retiring as Chief Warrant Officer. After his military career he worked for Martin-Marietta in Colorado. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post #164. Also, he was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Freeman Funeral Home. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery.
