A native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she was best known for the role of 'Miss Jane Hathaway' on the 1960s television comedy series "The Beverly Hillbillies" for which she was nominated for an Emmy Award. Her many other TV credits included "Perry Mason", "Twilight Zone", "The Lucy Show", "Sanford and Son", "Petticoat Junction", "The Love Boat", "Simon & Simon" and "Quantum Leap". For feature films, she appeared in "Steel Town" (1952), "Shane" (1953), "A Star is Born" (1954), "Count Three and Pray" (1955), "Forever Darling" (1956), "Moon Pilot" (1962) and "The Patsy" (1964).
