She and her twin sister were born Jan. 26, 1929, in Oakley, Idaho, to Simon and Molly Athea Lind Baker. On April 30, 1952, she married the love of her life Carl "Gene" Randell in the Idaho Falls Temple. To this union were born five children: Kathy (Vern) Babbitt, Donna (Gerald) Wade, Connie (Bill) Butler, Dwight (Gayle) Randell and Robert (Julie) Randell. She also leaves behind her husband of 62 years, "Gene" Randell; her children; two brothers, Simon and Norman Baker; sister, Rachel Fairborne; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Kathleen enjoyed riding horses, raising chickens and tending her garden. She died while heading to irrigate her pasture. She lived life to the fullest and loved every minute of it. Even though she had an enduring love for the outdoors, family was the most important part of her life. She loved caring for her family, especially her grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at the Kimberly Stake Center. The funeral will be held following the visitation at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park.
