Frank Z. Mann was born July 30, 1916 in Alliance, Nebraska to Clyde P. and Zua (Zener) Mann. He had two sisters and two brothers.

He attended school in Hemingford, Nebraska and graduated from Hemingford High School.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He married Lucina Schleppenbach in California February 16, 1944. Frank and Lucina were blessed with four sons and three daughters, 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was employed by Peter Kiewit Construction prior to his being caretaker at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. In 1991, he retired and moved to Fremont, Nebraska.

He was a member of the Blair American Legion, was a past president of the Blair Optimists, a member of the Fremont Breakfast Optimists and a member of the Fremont Knights of Columbus Council No. 1497.

Frank Z. Mann, 76, formerly of Blair, died Monday, July 19, 1993 at the Tekamah Nursing Center where he had been a resident since March, 1993.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in service to the family.
