Marcelle LaRu Plumley, 64, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away June 11, 2014. A celebration of life was held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Smith officiating. Guest speakers will be Rev. David Franklin and Rev. Steve Slusher, and President of Johnson and Bryan, Robert Wynne. Interment was at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
Marcelle was born and raised in Miami Beach, FL. and moved to Acworth, GA in 1976. She was a longtime employee of Johnson and Bryan. She was a member of Glade Road Baptist Church and has been affiliated with Eagle Crest Bible Study.
She was preceded in death by her son Joseph and her parents George and Martinez Huguley.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years Aaron Plumley; son Steven Plumley; grandson Todd Plumley all of Acworth; sister Brenda Sarwar of Naples, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked for contributions to be made to the Youth of Glade Road Baptist Church at 6570 Glade Road, Acworth, GA 30102 or Eagle Crest Bible Study at 115 Fitchburg Drive, Woodstock, GA 30189.
