JAMES E. "JIM" LEEHY, 74

James “Jim” Leehy was born Oct. 5, 1932 in Fort Calhoun to John and Charlotte (Maher) Leehy. He graduated from Blair High School in 1949.

On Oct. 28, 1951, he married Marilyn Rahlfs at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. They were blessed with five children.

Mr. Leehy was a salesman at Kelly Ryan Equipment Co. in Blair, and for Barco Municipal Products of Omaha.

He was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church; a former member of the Blair Volunteer Fire Department; and was a charter member of the Blair Rescue Squad. He enjoyed all sports, especially golf, and watching his grandchildren’s school activities.

James Leehy, 74, died Friday, may 4, 2007 at his home in Blair, Nebraska.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marilyn; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Peg Leehy; Bob and Kay Leehy, all of Blair; Bill and Jan Leehy of Omaha, NE; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Gary Rasmussen of Ankeny, Iowa; and Jane and Brad Wrich of Blair; mother-in-law, Ella Rahlfs of Blair; stepmother, Maureen Leehy of Omaha; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack Leehy of Blair; Rich and Mary Leehy and Mike and Rita Leehy, all of Omaha; and Larry Leehy of Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Bob Trauernicht of Omaha; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tom.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
