Harold Bennett (September 17, 1899 - September 15, 1981) was an English actor most famous for playing young Mr Grace in the 1970s British sitcom Are You Being Served?.Bennett was born in Hastings, East Sussex. He also played the recurring character Mr Blewitt in Dad's Army from 1969 to 1977. He died of a heart attack in September 1981. Prior to his acting roles he had been an architect and took up acting on his retirement.
The feeble, octogenarian store owner is attended to by a long line of beautiful secretaries and nurses. He has a soft spot for Mrs. Slocombe but no patience at all for Mr. Rumbold's idiocies. The erstwhile fish filleter rules Grace Brothers as an occasionally benevolent tyrant. He retires to work on a book on ornithology and eventually dies while scuba diving.

Harold Bennett was always good at whatever role he played, dramatic or comedic. He kept the staff of Grace Brothers on their toes and seemed to have a good time doing it!|
