Harry Butler was born Harry Burns in 1905 to Patrick L. Burns and Catherine Nichols Burns. His mother died within a few months of his birth. Catherine Burns' sister, Minnie Nichols Butler and her husband, Joseph A. Butler, took Harry in and raised him. About the time he reached adulthood, he started to become known at Harry Burns Butler & then Harry Butler. He always maintained a relationship with his father, his sister, Katherine AGNES Burns (1900-1977) and brother, Patrick (1895-1961).
