PAGANO - Peter C., aged 88, of Port St. Lucie, FL, formerly of Glendale and New Hyde Park, NY, passed peacefully from this world on May 24, 2014, with his devoted wife of 66 years, Frances, at his side.

A veteran of the Second World War, Peter served in General Patton's Third Army, 89th Infantry Division. He participated in the Allied crossing of the Rhine River among other campaigns.

A proud small businessman, Peter founded Page Printing Company in 1949. It remained a fixture in the Ridgewood, NY commercial community for fifty years.

In his earlier years, Peter was active in several civic and fraternal organizations including American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lions Club, Glendale Chamber of Commerce and Unico.

In addition to his wife Frances, Peter is survived by his three children, Frank (Patricia), Angela (Edward) and Peter, six grandchildren - Karen, Gregory, Peter, Elizabeth, Stephanie & Catherine and five great-grandchildren - Emily, Michael, Malory, Courtney & Cameron.

Services held at the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, Williston Park, NY. Funeral Mass at St. Aidan Church, Williston Park, NY. Interment at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.
