The Rev. Marvin C. Taylor and the Rev. Tommie Morgan were to officiate. Interment was to be in the Salem Cemetery with Johns Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ethel McCarty of Collins; five daughters, Mrs. Percy Lee Smith of Collins, Mrs. Warren Tynes of Mobile, Mrs. Cecil Adams of Wilson, N.C., Mrs. Harold S. Smith of Poplarville and Mrs. James Lofton of Hattiesburg; three sons, Kenneth of Collins, Bennett of Hattiesburg and Bobby McCarty of Bogalusa; 28 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, E.F. McCarty of Beaumont, H.O. McCarty and Dewey McCarty, both of Laurel and one sister, Mrs. Albert Rogers of Stringer.
