Thaddeus Horton, 78 years old, died at 5:30 Sunday morning at his
home, 7 Helwig street. Gloversville, after an Illness of the past six weeks.
He was employed for a number of years as caretaker of the flowers in the Prospect Hill cemetery.
Three weeks ago Mrs. Horton died suddenly, causing a serious shock to Mr. Horton, who had been
ill a short time before.
Mr. Horton was born in Fonda, where he spent the early part of his life. Forty-two years ago he moved to Gloversvllle, where he has since resided.
The survivors are two daughters, Margaret and Henrietta Horton; three sons, John A., E. Garfield and Thaddeus Horton, Jr., of Gloversvllle; two brothers, Millard F. Horton of Schenectady and Simon Horton of Gloversvllle; one sister, Virginia Horton, of Gloversvllle; three grandchildren and one niece and one nephew. The funeral will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Interment will be In the Prospect Hill cemetery.
