Madelyn Lou Barna , 85, passed away Wednesday May 4, 2014 while at her home surrounded by family. She was born on November 23, 1928 in Mendon, OH to the late Victor and Cevelle Snyder.

Madelyn worked for Dr. Nall's office for 20 years, was a member of Jeffersontown Lions Club, and a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church.

Her son, Thad Barna and a brother, Fred Snyder has preceded her in death.

Left to carry on her memory are her husband, William R. Barna; sons, Donald, Michael (Brenda) and Lance Barna; daughters, Brenda Klingensmith, Vicki Wolverton (Patrick), Suzanne Wilson (Kenny) , and Carol Bellman (Don); 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and daughter in law, Rosie Barna.

A mass will be held at 10 am Saturday, June 7, 2014 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 3042 Hikes Lane, with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8pm Friday and 8:30 until 9:30 am Saturday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road.
