Born in Erick, Oklahoma, to Orvell Cecil Clancy and Ineta Elliott, Wayne and his family moved to Houston in 1953 where he went to school and began his life's career as a mechanic. He was the co-owner of McAfee Standard Transmissions. Wayne was dedicated to work and to play. When he was not hard at work, Wayne was an avid fisherman and on many weekends he could be found at his beach house or out on his boat with family and friends.
