The mother of Bertha Bomers Westra was Grietje (Maggie) de Vlieg 1850-1890. She was the mother of all of Gerrit Bomers' children. Sarah Bomers is the full sister of Bertha, not half. Grietje Holman Bomers was Gerrit's second wife. They had no children together. She had children by a prior marriage to Berend Tiemersma (1830-1893).
