Mrs. Engle was born Sept. 19, 1922, in Kansas City.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemary.
Her survivors include her husband of 61 years, Norman Engle, two daughters, Donna Dodson and Katherine Pycior and a son, Ron Engle, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Monday at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, Grain Valley. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until noon at the chapel. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice in Ellen's name.
