"Thomas A. Deegan of Middletown, N.Y. died December 20, 2005 at Castle Point VA Hospital in Beacon, N.Y. He was 57.

The son of Thomas Deegan and Marion Sabo Deegan, he was born on June 26, 1948 in Yonkers, N.Y.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country in the United States Marines where he was awarded the Purple Heart. A family statement reads: 'Tom will be remembered as a loving and caring son, father and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family and friends.' Since his retirement, he loved to golf and travel.

Survivors include the love of his life, Beverly Deegan; son, Colby Deegan and his companion, Cambridge Bruning of Pine Bush; daughter, McKenzie Deegan, of Montgomery; granddaughter, Ashlyn Deegan of Pine Bush; brother William Deegan of Arizona; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation at Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, N.Y. will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

The funeral will beheld on Friday, December 23, 2005 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Murray Avenue, Goshen.

Interment will be in the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 419 E. Main Street, Suite 307B, Middletown, NY 10940."
