Mr. Dennis Charles Agan, age 54, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Agan was born in Floyd County on December 28, 1959, son of Harlin E. "Johnny" Agan and the former Josephine Roberson. He attended Pepperell High School and prior to his retirement, was employed with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #72. Mr. Agan was a member of the Flint Hill Baptist Church. An avid Harley enthusiast, Mr. Agan was a member of the Freedom Seekers Support Club here in Rome.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Haley Bray, and her husband, Daniel, Aragon, and Mrs. Whitney Chandler, and her husband, Kip, Rome; 3 grandchildren, Wade Crider and Colby Chandler, both of Rome, and Ashley Bray, Aragon; his parents, Johnny and Josephine Agan, Aragon; aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 2pm at Flint Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Spears officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Flint Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday from 6 until 8pm. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence.
Members of the Freedom Seekers and the Freedom Seekers Support Club will serve as active and honorary pallbearers and are requested to assemble at Flint Hill Baptist Church on Wednesday at 1:30pm.
