She was born Jan. 7, 1935, to Rexford and Ola Rachael (Tate) Grigsby.
She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1958. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barner Jr; both parents; brothers, Rexford (Felix) Grigsby, Royce Grigsby and Pawnee Grigsby; and two children.
She is survived by her nine children, Sandy and Rick Hilton of Hot Springs, Mark and Charolette Barner of Tuckerman, Micheal Barner of Tuckerman, Charles (Chuck) Barner of Tuckerman, Greg Barner of Tuckerman, David Barner of Hot Springs, Anna and Brian Hisek of Hot Springs, Mendy Tubbs of Melbourne and Jeremy and Karman Barner of Franklin; 21 grand-children; and 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl Dean Grigsby of New Caney, Texas; a sister, Vina Mae Carpenter of Newport; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Gracelawn Cemetery.
