She was the only daughter of actress Ethel Barrymore, and was the ninth generation of her family to pursue a stage career. She made her acting debut alongside her mother in the 1930 play "Scarlet Sister Mary." She also appeared on stage in "George White's Scandals" (1931), "Under Glass" (1933), "L'Aiglon" (1934), "London Assurance" (1937), "Orchids Preferred" (1937), "Whiteoaks" (1938) and "Follies" (1971). She was a singer who gave concerts, sang in clubs and with opera companies, including the New York City Opera. She passed away from cancer.
