"Harry Annable Taken by Death
Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the First Methodist church for Harry Annable, 72, who passed away at midnight Wednesday after an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Annable was born September 6, 1866, at Syracuse, N. Y., lived in Evanston, Ill., before coming to Three Oaks 20 years ago. He was one of the most widely loved men in the village and his passing will be mourned by many. For the past four years he had been sexton of the Congregational church where his unfailing dependability and courtesy won him the love and respect of the entire congregation.
Surviving are two sons, Russell of Three Oaks, and Lee of Swanston, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs, John Leemaster of Woodville, Ohio, and a brother, living of Three Oaks. Mrs. Annabie preceded him in death and a daughter, Lois, died at the age of seven. Two brothers, Birney and Benjamin have also been dead a number of years. The funeral service will be by Rev. J. T, Henry with burial in the Forest Lawn Cemetery." The Galien River Gazette, page 1, September 22, 1938
