Catherine (Weathers) McCullough, 83, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Friday, January 13, 2006, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born June 25, 1922, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Dean and Annie (Moore) Weathers, and the wife of the late William Travis McCullough.
She was the co-founder of McCullough Shoes and McCullough's Wrecker Service, and was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, W. E. Billy and Frances McCullough of Greer, Jimmy Keith and Pat McCullough and Grady E. Pap and Judy McCullough, all of Boiling Springs; two brothers, Johnny Weathers and James Weathers, both of Boiling Springs; six sisters, Margaret Chapman, Virginia Albus, Betty Brooks, Corrie Hall, Perrin Gilbert, all of Boiling Springs, and Joyce Brice of Moore; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Anna Laura Brannon.
Visitation was 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2006, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2006, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, conducted by Rev. James W. Crocker, Rev. Dr. Herbert Garrett, Rev. Keith Higginbotham, and Rev. Michael Joe Harvell. Burial was in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Rehobeth Baptist Church, 110 Rehobeth Road, Gaffney, SC 29340; to Boiling Springs First Baptist Church Historical Room, 3600 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29306; or to Hospice Special Needs Fund, 120 Heywood Avenue, Suite 300, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
