Virginia May Toman, 68, of Staunton, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at King's Daughters Community Health and Rehab in Staunton.
She was born in Bath County, Virginia on May 12, 1945, daughter of Ella (Bryant) Ward and the late Ernest Ballard Ward.
Virginia graduated from Wilson High School in 1964 and worked at Stanley Furniture for 10 years. She was a member of Four Square Gospel Church.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Toman.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Melvin L. Toman; children, Michelle Hudson and Melvin B. Toman; grandchildren, Amber Long, Jessica Berry and husband Dave, Erica Toman, Brooke Toman, Shawna Hudson, Travis Hudson and wife Morgan; and 7 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Melvin B. Toman, Travis Hudson, Dave Berry, Jack Long, Jr., Justin Horn, and Grover Peery.
