Wife of dairyman Salvador F. "Sam" CENTANNI.
Known for collecting huge elaborate Christmas displays for her home at 4506 Canal Street in New Orleans, which attracted thousands of spectators every December. When she died at their New Years party on January 1, 1967, Sam turned out the lights she had displayed for 20 years. They were later refurbished and donated to City Park for all to enjoy. Her decorations are said to have survived Hurricane Katrina and belong to the City of New Orleans parks.
Myra and Sam had seven children.
