Lula Hawthorne, 86, of Kirbyville died Tuesday, October 29, 1996, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 31, at EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Wilkinson Cemetery in Newton County.
A native of Farrsville, she lived in Kirbyville most of her life and was a retired cafeteria worker of the Kirbyville ISD.
Survivors include daughters, Doris Williams of Kountze and Cecil Frances Barrow and Mary Jane Travis, both of Kirbyville; sisters, Lela Cole of Buna; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
