Deceased Name: Stubbs, William Earl

A native of Utica, Miss., and a resident of Denham Springs, he died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at his home. He was 84, a member of Pipefitters Local 198, Albany Masonic Lodge 466 and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Monday, Jan. 8, from 9 a.m. until religious service at noon in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. James Cowell, the Rev. Paul Taylor and the Rev. Dewayne Knapp. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by wife of 60 years, Virginia Mae Dillow Stubbs; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Myrna Dean and Earl Claunch; stepson and daughter-in-law, Beryl William and Katherine Dillow; son and daughter-in-law, William Earl Jr. and Linda Stubbs; daughter-in-law, Frances Stubbs; two sisters, Rebecca Snapp and Mary Frances Holmes; two brothers, Donald Ray and Glenn Stubbs; nine grandchildren, Brandi Smith, Tasha and Chad Stubbs, Darren and Lance Stubbs, Christopher Dillow, Jennifer Kersey, James Claunch and Alitia Mongesku; 10 great-grandchildren, Brycen, Haley and Mason Stubbs, Alex, Caroline and Benjamin Dillow, Hailey Kersey, Jake Stubbs, Gage Mongesku and Savannah Smith. He was preceded in death by parents, Henry Issac and Agnes McBride Stubbs; son, Patrick Morris Stubbs; three sisters, Pearl Ellis, Catherine Reed and Alice Hawkins; and brother, Henry Stubbs Jr. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Denham Springs. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 3704, Memphis, TN 38173-9984 or to Hospice of Baton Rouge, 3080 Teddy Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. Special thanks to Hospice of Baton Rouge for their help in caring for our loved one; also the Baton Rouge Sitters Service Registry for having such a loving staff of sitters. Rest in peace, "Pappaw."
