CASCADE, Iowa - Margaret Ann Supple, 87, formerly of 504 First Ave. W., Cascade, where she had resided for 79 years, died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade, where she was a resident since March 2002.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Cascade, with the Rev. Daniel Krapfl officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cascade. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there will be a Legion Auxiliary service at 3:30 p.m. and a wake service at 4 p.m.

Margaret Ann was born on May 8, 1919, in Cascade, daughter of John and Gertrude (Conlin) Miller. She married Joseph J. Supple on Sept. 25, 1944, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cascade. They made their home in Cascade at 504 First Ave., where Margaret Ann lived since the age of 3.

She graduated from St. Mary's School, Cascade, in 1937, she then worked for Dr. Beddoes and helped at a variety store. She was later employed at Western Dubuque Schools in the cafeteria, until her retirement.

She was a member of the Cascade American Legion Auxiliary, Shady Rest Care Center Auxiliary and St. Matthias Parish, Cascade. Margaret Ann also was a volunteer for the Cascade Senior Citizen's, delivering Meals-on-wheels.

Margaret Ann enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, JoAnne (Charles) Smith, of Denver, and Mary Jean (Matt) Simon and Cheryl (Chuck) Reiter, both of Cascade; eight grandchildren, Adam (Heidi) Smith, Kate (Jerry) Palm, Dan Simon, Andy (Paula) Simon, Sarah Simon, Tony Reiter, Kevin Reiter and Travis Reiter; three great-grandchildren, Tanner and Tatum Smith and J.J. Palm; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul (Betty) Supple, of Marion, Virginia Supple, of Hopkinton, and Larry Stoneking, of Monticello.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Supple, on March 14, 1975; and a sister, Gertrude Miller, on July 19, 1928.

Memorials may be given to Camp Courageous of Monticello.
