PORTLAND-Mrs. Nellie M. Stahlman, 94, widow of Joseph Stahlman, MD, 76 Douglas St., Portland, formerly of Vandergrift, Pa., and Strong, died Thursday noon at a Portland hospital after a long illness.

She was born in Strong, July 20, 1879, the daughter of George and Ellen Cullen McLeary. She was educated in schools of Strong and was a graduate of Farmington State Teachers College. Mrs. Stahlman taught school in various towns in Maine and Malden, Mass., and St. Paul, Minn., schools. She retired in 1925 when she was married to Mr. Stahlman. She was a former member of the DAR and the Eastern Star in Pennsylvania.

Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Freda E. Allen, with whom she resided in Portland, and a step-daughter, Miss Calla Stahlman, Vandergrift, Pa.
