Furneral services for Grace Lakey of Blue Springs , will be held May 16, 2014 at 11::00 A.M. At Church of the Resurresation, 601 Jefferson Street, Blue Springs, MO. Burial at Mound Grove Cemetary. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11 AM at the church. She died May 13, 2014 at Center Point Medical Center. Grace (Allyn) Lakey was the daughter of Jim and Sarah Allyn of O'Neill NE. She was born February 21, 1937 at her grandparents ranch of Stuart, NE. Grace graduated from Bryan Memorial Nursing College in Lincoln, NE in 1958. She married Luther Lakey November 20, 1958. They moved to Chicago and lived there until 1970 when they moved to Whitney, NE. Grace practiced nursing there until 1990 when they moved to Nevada. Later they moved to Blue Spring MO. Grace took great interest in her community and was involved in her church where she participated in Bible studies and prayer groups. She was preceded in death by her husband Luther and a daughter Lynn Lee Lakey. She is survived by a son Roy and a daughter Carol and two sisters Alice McClurg and Jean Stenzel and a brother Calvin Allyn. Charter Funerals, 816-921-5555
