Memorial services for Dove Creek resident Lloyd Ezra Crapo will be held Wednesday, May 14 at 11 a.m. at Dove Creek Assembly of God, 412 Guyrene St. Dove Creek, Colo.

Lloyd Ezra Crapo was born to Hazel and Ez Crapo, March 16, 1928 in Lockerby, Utah. He passed away at 1:30 p.m. on May 9, 2014 in Monticello, Utah. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Crapo; his wife, Frances Crapo; and daughter, Cathie Loftis.

Lloyd is survived by his brothers, Hayes Crapo and wife, Ester of Durango, Colo., and Stanley Crapo and wife, Callie of Coal Bed Creek, Colo.; daughter, Aloya Nelson and husband, Gary; son, Ernie Crapo; son-in-law, Gary Loftis; daughter, Teresa Arthur and husband, Lennis; and 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Lloyd met Frances Mitchell and they married March 28, 1947. Their union produced 4 children and many grandchildren. He and Frances moved many times with Lloyd working at various jobs; including mill electrician, diesel mechanic, parking cars in San Diego, Calif. where his son Ernest was born. Aloya, Cathie and Teresa were born in Cortez, Colo. After leaving Colorado, they moved to Belfield, N.D., where he worked in a uranium mill. Then to Riverton, Wyo. where he worked in another uranium mill in Gas Hills. Finally, they moved to Shirley Basin, Wyo. where he worked as an electrical foreman for 19 years. He and Frances retired and moved back to Dove Creek in the summer of 1990. Frances preceded Lloyd in death August 13, 1999, then his daughter, Cathie Loftis, January 1, 2013.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to the Dove Creek ambulance fund
