Mrs. William Baier, 75, died early Friday evening at her home, 418 S. Madison St., Chilton, after an illness of six months.
The former Ida Gotter, she was born Feb. 16, 1885 in the Town of Rantoul, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Gotter. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran church in Rantoul. On Sept. 20, 1906, she was married to William Baier in Chilton. He died Nov. 19, 1955. Mrs. Baier was a member of the Ladies' Aid Society of St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Chilton.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Edward O. (Alice) Pringle Jr. of San Francisco, Calif., and seven sons, George of Springfield, Ohio, Arthur of Madison, Walter and Robert of Milwaukee, Dr. John of Martinez, Calif., William Jr. of Green Lake, Wis., and Herbert of Long Beach, Calif. She also is survived by 13 grandchildren; one brother, Otto Gotter of Hilbert, and two sisters, Mrs. Olga Hillman of Rantoul and Mrs. Clara Albers of Hilbert. Two daughters, one son, three sisters and five brothers also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Chilton with the Rev. C. C. Krueger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery at Chilton.
