Some time down through the years, the descendants of Henry and Jane Farrar apparently changed the spelling of the surname to Farrow. The family bible gives the death date of Henry Farrar as May 14, 1862,but Civil War Records say it was June 1862. Civil War Papers do not give the exact date of death, and there are records with various dates, but his death was soon after he enlisted, which was March 29,1862. One record shows that he may have died in General Hospital in Okolona, Mississippi.
