Janice May Peak, 43, of Pittsburg, was born June 11, 1962, to Stan and Dona Anderson in Springfield, Mo.

Janice was a member of First Baptist Church of Strafford and came to know the Lord at age 12 at Baptist Hill. She was a 1980 graduate of Strafford High School and received a bachelor's degree in Business from Columbia College in 2003.

Janice was a devoted mother to Tina and Emilee Peak and a loving soul mate to Randy Austin. She also was a beautiful daughter, sister, and friend. Janice loved family, the lake, fishing, hunting, picnics and spending time with friends. She loved to teach her daughters many things about life and unconditional love. She loved to laugh and she loved to care. She loved and was loved. Janice is still in our hearts and in our every thought and her love is still with us.

Janice is survived by her mate Randy Austin, of Pittsburgh; daughter, Tina Peak, of Marshfield; daughter, Emilee Peak and her fiance, John Calkins, of Northview; parents, Stan and Dona Anderson, of Springfield; sister, Debbie Austin, of Strafford; brother and sister-inlaw, Steve and Sandy Anderson, Brighton; nephews, Jason and Justin Cordova, of Strafford; and nephew, Kyle Van Arkel, of Brighton. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 12, at Greenlawn North, Springfield, MO
