World's Greatest Dad!

•*¨*•.¸¸♥♥¸.•*¨*♥♥¨*•.¸¸♥♥¸.•*¨*•

This is my DAD! He was a wonderful,
intelligent, humerous person. As my Dad
always said, he is what he is. He is a
father, husband, brother, son, & grandfather
who will be greatly missed. I grieve
everyday for the loss of my father. He had a
HUGE impact on my life. We were
very close and did a lot of things together.
Our favorite thing was planting flowers, the hosta's that I absolutely LOVE.
I had no idea it would be this
hard saying goodbye to him under these
circumstances. His last few days were
horrible from what I understand. He passed
away just as he wanted to, in his sleep.
How I wish I could have been there to sit
with him and say goodbye 1 last time.
I admire my Dad's courage in fighting
this disease. It would have been selfish
of me to beg him to stay here with us,
as none of us knew exactly how he felt
or how hard it was to fight the cancer.
My Dad suffered from lung, bone, adrenal
gland, and liver cancer. The doctors say
the cancer started in his lungs and spread
from there. He didn't give up on life,
he did not want to suffer anymore.
For that reason, I can say that it was
ok for him to go because I understand.
I'm glad he's no longer suffering and
in pain anymore. Rest in peace Dad, I will
forever love and miss you! My heart is broken
that you're gone.

A few poems that I stumbled apon ....

When tomorrow starts without me, Don't think
we're far apart ... For every time you think
of me, I'm right here,in your heart.

TO MY DAD ~~~~~~~ It broke my heart to
lose you, But you did not go alone.
Part of me went with you, the day God
called you home. A million times
I've thought of you, a million times
I've cried. If loving could have saved you,
you would have never died.
Forgive me Lord, I'll always weep, for
the Dad I loved but could not keep.

If tears could build a stairway
and memories were a lane
I would walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken
no time to say goodbye
you were gone before I knew it
and only God knows why,
My heart still ache in sadness
and secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you
No one can ever know.
But now I know you want me
to mourn for you no more.
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store.
Since you will never be forgotten
I pledge to you today
A hallowed place within my heart
Is where you'll always stay.

Angel Michael

His smile was like sunshine,
Spreading warmth all over the place.
As pictures of him flow through your mind,
Warmth invades your space.

His laughter was so pure and sweet,
As he greeted every day,
You can still hear it in your mind,
As it travels out his way.

His kindness was legendary,
Always caring for his fellow man.
Such as you've not seen since he left,
And will not likely see again.

Your family was blessed to have him,
Even though the time seems small.
If you had lived and never known him,
It would have been no life at all.

So "Dad" remember, they'll always love you,
Even when memories bring tears to their eyes.
Your family circle is now broken,
To be mended one day in the sweet by and by.
