Robert C. Bennett was born Sept. 9, 1934, to Chester and Grace (Sully) Bennett in Omaha, Nebraska.

He graduated from Blair, Nebraska High School and served in the US Navy from March of 1956 until December of 1957.

He owned and operated Bennett Tavern in Blair and also worked for Kelly Ryan Manufacturing.

Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Debra Reynek of Blair, Angie Bennett and Carrie Long, both of Omaha, as well as a sister, Ann Bennett of Omaha; two brothers, Dr. William Bennett of Marion, Iowa and Jack Bennett of Lincoln, Nebraska, and three grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
