Dorothea was born February 13, 1914 to Oscar and Nellie Gilbertson.

In 1920, she and her parents were farming in Blair Township, Washington County, Nebraska.

In 1938 she was married to Stanley Bednar.

Blair Woman Killed by Fall

Mrs. Stanley (Dorothea) Bednar, 54, of Blair was killed Monday night in a fall, apparently on the steps, in the basement of her home.

Her husband is executive vice president of the Washington County Bank at Blair.

County Attorney Roy Anderson, acting as coroner, attributed the death to head injuries.

Survivors besides her husband include a son, Capt. John Bednar of Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri; daughters, Mrs. Henry Neff of Blair and Mrs. L. Kent Coen of Omaha; mother, Mrs. Nellie Gilbertson of Blair, and sisters, Mrs. Agnes Maher of Blair and Mrs. B.G. Robertson of Little Rock, Ark.
