Josephine C. Levasseur,95, of Crestview Acres Nursing Home, Marion, died there Tuesday after a short illness. Services: 9 a.m. Monday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery . Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.

Survivors include two daughters, Leona Young and her husband, George, of Towson, Md., and Dorothy Otting and her husband, Kenneth of Whitewater, Wis.; a brother, Ralph Minear of Clearwater, Fla.; a grandson, Rodney Young of Towson, Md.; and a granddaughter, Traci Young of Rocky Hill, Conn.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

Josephine was born Dec. 31, 1897, in Piper City, Ill., a daughter of George and Louisa Minear. She resided in the Vinton area and was employed by Iowa Electric Light and Power Co. before her marriage to Leo Levasseur on Aug. 8, 1922. They lived on a farm north of Marion for more than 50 years, then retired to Marion, where Leo died in February 1981.

The Rev. Stanley Wierson will officiate. Memorial donations may be given to Baltimore Association of Retarded Citizens.
