Death of Mr. McCall.

Mr. H. M. McCall, aged about 90 years, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the residence of his son, Mr. J. D. McCall, on North Graham street, of old age. Mr. McCall had been sick about a week. He had no special disease, but gradually wore out, and the wheels of life stood still.
Deceased was born in Union County, near Philadelphia church. After his son came here to live, he moved here also, and has since made this his home. His children who survive him are: Mr. J. D. McCall, Messrs. Wm., S. Y., J. R. [may read J. K.) McCall, Mrs. Adam Yandle, Mrs. Rufus Trotter, Mrs. A. M. House, Mrs. D. W. Huch, Miss Mary McCall and Mr. John McCall. Interment will take place at Philadelphia church.

NOTE: from the transcriber: At the time Mr. McCall was born, about 1802 - 1810, Union County was not yet formed. It was formed in 1842. Therefore this researcher believes the area he was born was in Mecklenburg County, NC where Philadelphia church was located at that time.
