A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 Am until 12 noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at noon at the funeral home with social distancing being followed and masks being worn. Burial will be in the Phillips Cemetery.
Luretta was born on September 19, 1925 in Magnolia to Elzia and Maggie (Tyree) Turpin. She married Alvin Bales and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1965. She later married Richard Fagg and he preceded her in death on December 17, 1995.
Surviving are 10 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren and a brother Elzia Turpin of Streator and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Alvin and Richard, daughter Shirley Daniels and son Robert Bales, grandson Todd Spellious, great-grandsons Jeffrey and Michael Harcar and Owen Yurich, a sister Thelma Maubach and brothers John and Aldon Turpin.
Luretta attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was active in the church organizations. Luretta had retired from Owens Illinois Glass.
Luretta enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting and always making christmas stockings for any new arrivals at christmas time and wanted to include and teach her grandchildren and great-grandchildren the art.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
