Daughter of Hans Hansen and Anna Tollefsen; wife of Bernt Johannesen.

Taken from granddaughter's journal:

Thorine married Bernt Johannesen on January 7, 1857, at Hurum Parish, Hurum, and Buskerud, Norway. Their migration to America came in October 1891, when their children sent money for them to come over. Thorine and Bernt, aunt Jane, and Einor set sail for America. Bernt took sick at sea and died.

Thorine was blind in her later years, I never knew her otherwise. They had fixed a wire guideline from the house out to the well and toilet that gave her a guide to go by, she took care of herself. She was always feeding who ever came over for a visit. One day she was making her fire and her apron caught on fire, her house burned down and she was burned badly, the house was located in Murray. Her daughter Laura took her up to her house to care for her. She never lived long after that. She passed away and was buried in the Murray City Cemetery.
