Maxine Shaver Holt, 91, Newport died Friday, January 9, 2015 at the home of her daughter.
She was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J C Holt. Parents, Jake and Dessie Shaver. Sister, Imogene Holt. Brothers, Albert, Doc, and Bobby Shaver, and grandson Richie Shaver.
She is survived by daughter, Marjorie (Gene) Shults and son Jeff (Diane) Shaver. Sisters, Betty (J C) Williams, Martha McClanahan all of Newport. Grandchildren, Quindell (Kathy) Shults, Sheila (Johnny) Poe, and Dwayne Shaver. Several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, Nieces, nephews, and a host of great neighbors and friends.

Family will receive friends Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 5pm-7pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Glen Bradley and Rev. James Suggs officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery Monday, January 12, 2015 at 1 pm.
