FOSSUM, Einar Einar died peacefully on November 1, 2011 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, Ontario in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Donalda (Goodall) and dear father to Trevor (Michele) of Calgary and Brenda (Gary) Horst of Stratford. Bestefar to Jacob Fossum, Christina Horst, David Horst, and Annica (Andrew) Napier. Einar is also survived by several nieces and nephews in Norway. Born July 11, 1920 in Inderøy, Norway. After agricultural college, Einar studied at Bible Training Institute in Glascow, Scotland and began serving in Zambia in 1951 with what would become Africa Evangelical Fellowship (now SIM). It was there he met Donalda, who had come from Quebec in 1952, marrying on April 24, 1954. They continued their ministry until 1987, having Peoples Church of Montreal as their home church and primary supporters. Visitation will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, at Fairview Mennonite Home Auditorium in Cambridge, Ontario, followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m., followed by an informal reception. Donations to SIM Canada (10 Huntingdale Blvd., Scarborough, ON, M1W 2S5) or Peoples Church of Montreal (2097 Ave Union, Montreal, QC, H3A 2C3) would be welcomed as a way of honouring Einar's life.
